Martin Sheen was slated to appear only in the pilot episode of "The West Wing", but the role of President Josiah Bartlet quickly became pivotal to the series. This fast-paced, highly successful drama is certainly one of the highlights of a stellar acting career.

  

But "The West Wing" will air its final episode in 2006, ending the Bartlet administration, and Martin Sheen will move on in his profession. Perhaps he will steal a quote from Jed Bartlet and say:
