Behind the Scenes
In an interview with "Stills" magazine, Jim Goddard, the director of "Kennedy",
said security was a concern during filming, further stating that police had warned them
against shooting a Martin Luther King sequence in Richmond, Virginia. With this in
mind, security was particularly tight during the assassination sequence, amid fears
that a "nutter" might try to shoot Martin Sheen for real.
